Majima shows up at the graveyard, because of course he does. Says something halfway between a greeting and a punchline, and Kiryu just nods like that’s the natural order of things.
“Thought you’d be dead by now,” Majima says, rocking on his heels.
Kiryu replies, “Still working on it.”
It’s not funny, but Majima laughs anyway. A bark that echoes through the headstones and makes a crow take off into the smoggy sky.
