After her lover, Alistair, leaves her at the Landsmeet over what Rowan Cousland saw as a completely pragmatic and sensible command decision, Rowan goes on to be Warden-Commander in Amaranthine and has to contend with an angry Nathaniel Howe as well as her own sorrow and pain, and all the other problems going on in the region.

In the Shadows of the Kingdom (ItSotK) is the official name for my Nathaniel/Camber (aka Nathamber) universe pairing. "Days Go By" is the only fic currently under this series title, but there will be more when I get around to publishing my story for Awakening, and beyond. Technically, a lot of my 100 Drabble Challenge belong here, but they're not meant to be read in the context of the series.

Summary
Shepard and the Normandy Crew are tasked with safely transporting a very rich human back to the Citadel. When he hits on Shepard, she lies about having a boyfriend to avoid offending him and failing her mission. The Normandy Crew isn't at all surprised that she picked Garrus for this fake relationship. In fact, no one on the ship is convinced it's fake, except Garrus and Shepard themselves.
Cue these two idiots trying to convince everyone that this is definitely fake and not at all real, and that warm, lovey feeling in their chests? Fake, too.

Summary
Elspeth Cousland survived the horrors of her family's purge and the Blight with barely a shred of her sanity intact, and is working to put herself back together again. She's determined to be useful and not get shoved to the sidelines. But when her old friend Nathaniel Howe returns to Ferelden, he's less than thrilled by his family's fate, and their friendship shatters under the weight of such trauma.
But from the ashes of the old friendship, they slowly find they can forge something new, and make a better world in the process.
Slightly altered DA universe. Hero of Ferelden is Kallian Tabris, mistress to king Alistair, and good friend of Elspeth (origins for this found in prologue). First person for Elspeth section, third person for Nathaniel. This fic will intersect with many of the events of DAA, but will not strictly repeat them - minor consequence of there being a surviving, non-Warden Cousland has some major impacts on the world. It will go into extra-game territory and original plot, particularly in tying some DAA and DA2 threads together in a largely canon compliant way.

I love my cullywully. And I love the fluffy stuff. But this is more taking on a - darker Cullen then they show in the games. Playing with learned prejudice. Hate born through trauma that was never dealt with. And naturally Freya is just the other side of the same coin. Honest mess that shouldn't end up together - but you know what. It's going to happen *evil cackle*- ANYWAYS. That all said. She was abused in the circle - and that will come up in all this most likely a few times >.>

After Haven, Catherine Trevelyan is convinced that it's not safe for her to be involved romantically. After all, she's already survived the Breach (Three Times!), being thrown through time, an archdemon, an ancient darkspawn magister, and an avalanche. Surely her luck wasn't going to last much longer, and she didn't have time for distractions or the energy to worry about what she would leave behind.
Still, that didn't mean she didn't have desires. Luckily, Skyhold's resident writer has started publishing a serial loosely - very loosely - based on her best friend and his new lover.
Cullen sees how Catherine is getting worn down, and thanks to some encouragement from their friends, he tries to do something about it thanks to a little inspiration from the dwarf's latest book. Anonymously, of course.
