“Papa, I’ll be fine,” Leia says, and time stops.
At first, his surprise is at her tone—she sounds fondly exasperated, like this is an argument she’s had many times before, but indulges anyway. It’s far more affection than she’s ever shown him; he had initially hoped she would warm up to him, but she’s only ever been distantly polite. He doesn’t think he’s ever heard her sound like that, even talking to Padmé or Shmi.
And then, an age and an instant all at once, her actual words hit him.
Takes place in acuteneurosis's Don't Look Back universe.

“How are you feeling?”
He can’t find the words to answer. He can’t think. His tongue keeps sticking to the roof of his dry mouth and when he licks his lips, they’re cracked and taste like copper. “…tired,” he finally whispers. “Cold…?” The race back to the Mantis kept him from feeling the chill, but once he collapsed into the copilot’s seat, he’d found himself shivering uncontrollably. Now his hands are still. He closes his eyes again, sinking back into the water, fading away. Maybe he never got out at all – maybe he’s freezing to death in that cave and this is his dying brain hallucinating a peaceful end. Will Cere and Greez come looking if he never makes it to the ship? They shouldn’t, it’s not safe with the Empire around, but he doesn’t want to be left there like a discarded piece of debris for some stormtrooper to fish out and throw in the trash.
(traversing the tundra of Ilum while soaking wet and wearing inadequate cold-weather gear has predictable consequences.)

If he’d been smart, he would have disregarded the other organics and looked at BD-1, instead. Who brought him aboard the Mantis just a few hours after they met? Who’ll spend forty tedious minutes carefully working a pebble out of his hydraulics without damaging him? Who turns into a seasoned defense lawyer every time he’s accused of leaving oil stains on the upholstery? Who inexplicably files him under the ‘cute and cuddly’ category (and treats him as such) even though the droid is made of metal and wires and spite?
Greez kicks himself later for not picking up on the obvious. Then he kindly forgives himself, because it’s been a rough week. Month. However long they’ve run themselves ragged after following the Inquisitors to Bracca and recruiting a Padawan-in-hiding who has a weakness for little droids… and, apparently, damn near everything else.

Summary
Welcome to the Enter!verse, an AU that branches off from the Legends EU very early in the LotF series and heads for parts unknown, taking creative liberties with the rest of the post-NJO time period along the way. In this world, Darth Caedus (aka Jacen Solo) rose to power but was eventually defeated, leaving the galaxy ripe for conquest by Darth Krayt’s One Sith, who came onto the scene much earlier than their EU counterparts. This ‘verse originated in my time travel fic, Enter the Foreign, where Anakin Skywalker goes to the future and helps his grandchildren in their fight against the Sith, and it has since expanded to include many new stories taking place before, after, and in universes adjacent to EtF.
These fics are currently listed in the order they were posted. They're probably best read in that order, but feel free to mix it up, I'm sure either way works. There's a bit of everything here: drama, action, angst, romance (often dark, but not always), psychological horror, introspection, and even some humor. Hopefully you'll find something to enjoy, and maybe even come back for more. ;)

Summary
Obi-Wan had been joking when he’d theorized that their resupply ship might be carrying his new Padawan. To find that it’s transporting not supplies, but two younglings sent by Master Yoda, is a sharp reminder of how much the green troll likes to meddle. There’s no way that he’ll reject his newly-assigned Padawan, though, even if a battlefield is the last place that a ten-year-old with psychometry should be.
Cody wasn’t expecting to suddenly be partially responsible for looking after a Padawan-Commander, but he doesn’t exactly mind, per se. In fact, most of the 212th is excited, and soon, Cody’s just as determined to bond with the little Commander—but for some unknown reason, the Padawan keeps flinching away.
Cal doesn’t know how he ended up back in the Clone Wars. Last he’d checked, time travel isn’t possible, but then, what would he know? He’d only been a Padawan for eight months before Order 66 had gone out. Now, he’s just trying to survive being the General Kenobi’s Padawan, get a handle on his psychometry again, and convince his instincts that the 212th isn’t about to shoot him. Oh, and he should probably do something to change the future, right?

Leia is growing in fits and spurts, eating greedily and crying loudly. She stays in a sling on Padme’s chest when they move, Luke held snug in a sling around Obi Wan’s. Luke gets a whole head of thick brown hair while Leia’s is still patchy and bald, but he never matches his sister’s powerful lungs.
When Padme had been sitting in her high senatorial apartment on Corsucant, holding Anakin’s sweaty hand, she had never imagined she’d be murmuring desperately soothing noises to her fussy daughter while she shot around a corner at stormtroopers, while R2D2 meddles with a ship’s blast doors behind her.
Luke starts teething on a hot jungle planet where they hunker down for three weeks, sleeping in an abandoned old temple and catching the local wildlife for dinner. Leia takes her first steps in the belly of a Corellian freighter they’ve stowed away on. She wobbles between Padme’s outstretched hands and Obi Wan’s knees and boxes of smuggled luxuries. When she falls down, Obi Wan surges forward, heart in his throat, but Leia laughs.
