started reading this during a fic-reading slump and uhh holy shit i think this might be one of the best character studies i've read in my life. the way they're tugging on the strings inside alfyn and therion's minds is incredible and so thorough and somehow they're also still making room to explore relationships w/the other travelers!! god i love found family. also the backstory given to therion in this one is wonderful, it's subtle in many places but jesus fuck is it good and new
nothing like the tenderness of warmth and human connection to help mutually come to terms with and heal from the pang of self-punishment/doubt ... 10/10.
