Summary
With Networks VOID/Networks VITAL, NULLverse is narratively Complete. But I keep writing anyway. Cuz it's fun.
Consider this series if you like: feral shit, disaster, continuity of identity+memory, societies of people with divergent needs/wants, chaos, robot creation ethics, violence vs security, suffering, healing, bad puns.
Canon Divergence AU:
- At the end of Exit Strategy, the Combat SecUnit succeeds at capturing Murderbot
- Murderbot is subjected to Palisade's construct research lab as they try to figure out what makes a rogue tick
- The Combat SecUnit is A (Problematic) Character
- Disaster ensuesNote installment one, Parameters NULL, is heavily horror/angst (and dark comedy). References NULL is also deeply angsty.
Series has its ups and downs regarding angst, slightly-less-dark comedy, and trauma recovery themes. Plus some whack worldbuilding speculation. We like to multi track drift here. It’s crack it’s angst it’s fluff? We have the RangeTM
Some installments are skippable if u so prefer. Reading order is suggested but not strictly necessary if u are a flexible type. Mix and match if you want. Go crazy. I know I am.

Summary
What if Stede Bonnet was driven mad by his childhood tormenters. Driven to become the greatest pirate the world would ever know. Driven to take all the fine things in life away from the silver spoon milksops who didn't deserve them.
What if Edward Teach was driven away from violence after brutally murdering his abusive father. Driven to become a pacifist pirate and captain to the misfits no other pirate would take. Driven to believe he deserved nothing but a chance to keep his crew alive for just one more day.
What if these men met and fell in love at first sight.

Summary
If he had been younger, maybe. Twenty years before he would have gotten on his knees and begged, and maybe he would have been allowed to stay. But Izzy had lived for the better part of four decades on this earth, there wasn’t much else for him out there, and the bottom line was that Edward did not need him anymore - and Izzy was tired. He was so goddamn tired.
“Are you quitting on me, Iz?” Edward asked, speaking for the first time, and his eyes had a mix of rage, longing and heartbreak that made him want to keel over and die. Bonnet fell silent, mouth gaping open, but he couldn’t even appreciate the absence of sound - his heart drummed so loudly it felt like his head was a drum. Thump-thump.Thump-thump.
“I will leave the ship at the next port,” he repeated, looking Edward straight in the eyes, “Captain.”
(In which Stede comes back, and Izzy struggles until he learns how to lean on.)
