This piece is based off my first Stardew game where I was very insulted by Shane's rudeness, so I decided to keep bugging him every time I saw him. I gave him gifts I thought he would hate but instead I ended up finding out what he likes. This story depicts how I think their first semi-positive interaction would've gone if they weren't bound by the restrictions of being video game characters with a limited set of programmed interactions.

As Daisy grows up and Leah grows old Daisy learns that she cannot rely on Leah for emotional support and grows distant from her mother. Leah, having interpreted their relationship much differently, attempts to make amends that she hadn't realized needed to be made.
