“Did you always climb up the wall to get into the house?” Randall asks. “Or only sometimes?”
It’s a little bit of a strange question, but Hershel’s used to strange questions from Randall, especially recently. He thinks. He did use the front door a couple of times, didn’t he? Four times? Five times, if he’s counting correctly.
He preferred using the wall, though. It was always easier that way.
“I used the wall most of the time,” Hershel says eventually. It’s the simplest answer.

Summary
Maybe it’s fruitless. Trying. Because that’s what he did with Randall, wasn’t it? Everything would fall apart and he’d just put it back together without thought. It would fall apart again. He’d fix it. And even after everyone else had given up, Henry was still down in the ruins, searching. Trying to put everything back together. Failing.
“Just-” Angela sighs, breaking through his contemplation. “You get home late, and then you go to sleep. You wake up and then you go back to work. You don’t… Henry, do you have any hobbies?”
His voice dies in his throat.
As he withers under her firm gaze, he tries to search for something in retaliation to that - and, to his utter dismay, comes up short.
