Sana leaned in closer. Their faces were only inches apart, and she could sense the sentinel’s unease without ever needing to read her mind. She just knew, instinctively.
And yet it still astonished her, the raw honesty and vulnerability that was only palpable to her. The sentinel could lie no more, conceal from her no more, because she had earned her trust. Even if it could only last for one moment – this moment.
She held Jihyo’s gaze and asked one last time, “Is that true, Jihyo? Is that how you really see me?”
“I can’t lie to you. And there’s no reason to.” Her captain sighed in resignation. “It’s either the truth I tell you… or nothing at all.”
Sana smiled faintly, anticipating, hesitating. “Then say it.”

Summary
She’s in the middle of telling a story with Sana quickly translating after her when it comes; a hand on her thigh making her freeze mid-sentence—a touch so confident it almost feels habitual, squeezing her flesh in an almost possessive way, that for a second Jihyo wonders if they met before, if they did this a million times and this is just something Sana’s used to doing to her. The others don't seem to notice her sudden loss of words, as Sana continues speaking, translating like Jihyo had finished the end of her sentence.
The touch doesn't make her uncomfortable; Sana’s hand is firm but in a way that feels self-assured instead of controlling, she touches her like she knows Jihyo wants her to and she wants it too.
