Tsumugi nods in agreement. “We’ll keep an eye on them to see if they shift,” he adds. “For now though, I don’t think you need to worry.”
And it’s after he says this—and after a particularly brutal typhoon season—that the tallest tree in the courtyard quite literally falls on his doorstep.
When a tree falls in the courtyard, Tsumugi takes the opportunity to plant a new tree for Winter Troupe. As they care for the tree, they contemplate their legacy as a troupe and their future in Mankai.
