Summary
George was good. Skilled, clearly very in-tune with his motions, perfectly uniform backswing, steps, and release for each shot. Dream remembers wondering if he’d ever be that good. He knew it took a lot of practice, and a lot of being watched, to get to a point where you could feel your own mistakes before you were even told them. Dream wanted to watch George, and to be watched by George. Maybe some of that control and awareness would rub off on him.
Perhaps that might not have been entirely normal, but really, what bowler doesn’t want to learn from someone clearly more skilled than they are? Who doesn’t jump at the opportunity to bowl in a Pro Am? That’s not that weird.

George, a barista at a busy coffee shop, has always considered himself to be a reasonable person. He's good at his job, and customers like him.
