The smile is what gets him; so soft unlike the ones he throws out willy-nilly outside. Is it real? He wants it to be. Aeons, he wants.
For now, he only relishes: the heat, the sincerity, the peaceful smile upon those plump lips.

Summary
It isn’t a Margarita he buys, which is a shame because Tanjirou did say it was their most popular, but beggars can’t be choosers. Instead, Zenitsu orders a Long-Island Iced Tea and takes his sweet time lounging in a corner booth, jotting down in a notebook he pulled out from a satchel. He’s even more recognizable without his mask on (and unbelievably pretty to look at) but he weirdly can’t quite put his finger on it. Where is he from?
It's not far-fetched to say that he's a model. He has a cute button nose, freckles spread throughout his cheeks (maybe more below?), and it’s surreal for him to be so cover-worthy while writing – tip of his tongue poking out amidst concentration. Tanjirou isn’t a big fan of anything fashion-related, but it’d be a waste if he isn’t picked up by any brands.
This is an objective, truthful opinion and it’s not because he’s my type. Maybe. No, totally.

Summary
Standing amidst students and parents huddled underneath the heat of the sun, most of which slick with sweat as they lined up for a stall, had never been Kazakami’s intention. The original plan was to head inside the building, indulge in the decorated hallways and booths, and then come back to his committee duties. Hell, if a classmate were to spot him waiting for his turn in the cotton candy stand, he wouldn’t know what to say. Especially after he’d proclaimed that he never favored the treat.
Yet–
Kazakami smiles, counting what pocket change he has left as he says: “One, please.”
He’s a fool, isn’t he?

His eyebrow raises at the suggestion, perplexed at the sudden timing of it. Kaigaku had a hard enough time looking him in the eyes before everything of this happened, so any thought of gazing at him while he was this close and touching his skin was out of the question. “What do you mean?”
“You don’t know where to look,” Kyojuro states as a matter of fact, tapping at the wounded part of his body with as much softness as he could muster. He isn’t blushing anymore, instead replaced by utmost concentration on cleaning up and making sure there’s no way he’ll get infected. Then, he continues, the corner of his lips quirking upward. “And I wouldn’t mind you staring at me.”

Summary
Finding each other amidst making up conspiracy theories, running simulations to overthrow the underground reptilian society, and shadowing the imminent threat of global destruction is what you'd call fate - if only fate wasn't a concept created by the deep state to trick humanity into a sense of comfort. Still, if fate is a thing, then they might as well be the very definition of it.
