Summary
For his next hit, Henry takes a step back, turns and swipes the sword in a wide arc, again displaying something that could look like the perfect stance to gain momentum for such an attack, but then Henry stumbles out of it and nearly loses his balance, not used to the weight of the sword.
Martin reaches out to steady him with a hand on his shoulder. “Whoa, son, be careful! You could have hit-”
He stops when he notices that the other noble who came with Radzig is clutching his throat and quite clearly choking on his own blood that’s streaming from a deep cut on his neck.
When Henry is allowed to try Radzig's sword after he and Martin finish it, he ends up cutting more than just the practice target.

“...he’s our ally, we can’t leave him behind.” Hans concluded, hoping Brabant will get the hint and stop rambling, because Hans was ready to leave right now. Leave with Henry and never see the inside of this damned fortress again.
“You’re right,” Henry agreed, nodded at Hans, then quickly shoved a dagger into Brabant’s stomach with one hand and covered his mouth with the other to stifle his scream.
Henry infiltrated Maleshov to get one hostage out, and he intends on doing just that.

"Jesus Christ, I'm coming—" The door opened and Henry took Capon in. He was in his braies, his wheat-brown hair dishevelled and nettle-green eyes bleary as he squinted, trying to comprehend why Henry was standing in his doorway in the wee hours. "Hal? You look like shit."
"Did you know?" he asked, breathless.
"Did I know what?" He leaned against the doorway, bracing himself and letting his arms tense. On another man, Henry might have taken it for a sign of aggression—Hans was just showing off, a toothy grin on his face.
"Did you fucking know?" he shouted, and Hans quickly went pale.
"Are you fucking insane? Keep your voice down, you complete barbarian."
