Jayce never expected an after. And maybe it’s greedy, but he’s going to take every single second of after that he can get.
Or.
Jayce and Viktor survive the hexcore and are spat out back to the night they decided to become partners. But Jayce has an entire other life in his head. And Viktor has infinite multitudes. All they have is each other, no one else remembers or knows what happened.
(Yes, this should have just been a chaptered fic but I really thought it was going to be a porny one shot, not 145+ word jayvik novel. BRAINROT is real. So I’m sorry about that!)

“What’s your name?” Jayce asked as Viktor lit a candle.
“What would you like it to be?” Viktor asked as he set down the glass jar and picked up the next one. Different people always preferred to call him different names. Darling, lover, sweetheart, for the more affectionate, seeking the semblance of a lover joining them in bed for the night. Sump rat, slum slut, dirty trencher for those who wanted to feel power over him and his past. That blond councilor liked to call him a whore or a bitch, resorting to more basic, one-syllable insults to inflate his own ego.
Where would this councilor fall?
“What it actually is.”
Viktor stopped. That surprised him. But… he had to admit it was a nice change of pace. He lit the second candle before setting it on the dresser top, turning to face Jayce with a ghost of a smile.
“It’s Viktor.”

The tone of Kaz’s voice makes Jesper want to throttle him. It’s smug and sincere and it makes the words take on too many meanings. He misses Nina. He really misses Inej.

Or, after Wylan's official inauguration as a Councilman, Jesper faces insecurities about his role in Wylan's new life. A party, a comment from Kaz, and a fireworks display lead to conversation about what the future holds for them.
This happens in the show universe as the Wesper deleted scene plays a key role. It takes place after the would-be events of the duology (i.e. Jan is in prison, Inej is at sea, Wylan is the head of the Van Eck household, etc.)
