Summary
Isabel Shepard is on house arrest while being tried for war crimes. Kaidan Alenko is preparing to testify on her behalf. Turns out that when you love someone – and you've taken on saving the world together – it takes a lot more than escaping death, Collectors, Cerberus, Reapers, and a court martial to get them off your mind.
Let's call this a novelization, told through the memories of two people who really, really miss each other. Canon compliant until it makes more sense not to be.
