Soren was already quite expressive with his emotions and quite fond of physical touch - he would often high-five fellow crownguards, bear-hug Callum or Ezran when the situation was appropriate for that, but it never lasted more than a few seconds unless Corvus was involved. Some days, Soren was practically clinging to him at all times, nonchalantly draping his arm around Corvus as they walked through the castle halls, or grabbing him by the elbow, ruffling his hair, playfully bumping their knees together under the table at the council meetings. At first, Corvus had been surprised by the number of gestures directed specifically at him, but he had never once complained about those displays of friendly affection. It was just Soren’s way of being, he thought to himself, even when Opeli would suggestively raise an eyebrow at him from the opposite side of the grand table.
-Ever since he had joined the crownguard, he had to switch to wielding swords and daggers as well as wearing heavier armor, which was much different from the lightweight leathers that he had been used to. He knew he could get used to those changes, he really could. The only thing that Corvus could absolutely not get used to was being defeated so often.
-Corvus smirked at him and reached towards the chain that hung from his hip. Before Soren could even notice, he heard a swish in the air and yelped when the chain smacked his wrist and wrapped around it, making his palm open and drop the sword. The crownguard’s breath hitched as he felt his opponent pull on the chain that dug into the skin of his wrist and pulled him closer to where Corvus stood in front of him. The sharp look in his friend’s eyes made Soren feel inexplicably vulnerable, hopeless like a deer hunted down by a banther. Stripped of his sword, Soren was defenseless. But instead of danger, all he could feel inside was the heat.The blonde shook his head abruptly. He shouldn’t be enjoying this, but in some odd, twisted way, he did and he couldn’t hide it. The scarlet tint of his cheeks was telling Corvus all he needed to know. With another sharp thug, he pulled Soren closer and leaned to whisper in his ear: “I wonder how the other crownguards would react if they saw you like this, their captain, defeated by his arrogance.”“Or maybe you want to admit how much you like that, hm? You, the most brilliant crownguard in the history of Katolis, right at my mercy,” the fellow crownguard spoke in a velvety voice that went right into the heat pooling in Soren’s core.

“I win,” Corvus announced, but his victory wasn’t meant to last long. Not with the way Soren’s warm tongue slid against his fingertip and circled the blonde’s parted lips in a way that almost made him lose the grip on his chain. That was the last thing he had expected to witness.“Yeah,” Soren murmured. “And what are you gonna do with that?”
“You can get your reward when we get out of here,” the blonde man said and tugged at the chain around his arm. “Think you are patient enough to get to my quarters?”
Good question, Corvus wanted to say
-It was a mess, a rough mess of teeth, groans, and bites that Soren seemed to really enjoy, judging by the way he gasped every time Corvus managed to tug with his teeth on his friend's lower lip. He is my friend. My best friend. It hit Corvus like thunder, were they both certain of what they were doing?

"I liked when you chained me down, you know," Soren mumbled, his voice coming out shy despite all the impureness going on inside his head at the thought of the scarf he was currently holding. He was yearning to be restrained again, just like he had been bound by the chains moments ago.

"So, uh… remember the first team training session after you joined the crownguard? The one where I properly introduced you to the others and asked you to show some of your skills with the chain…" The crimson of Soren's cheeks kept deepening as he spoke. "You wrapped that chain around me and it just made me feel something. You know, the good kind of something, before I thought that being chained was not something that should've made me feel good, quite the opposite,"
