Max hollers on the other end, laughing so hard he drops the phone. Her mom picks it up, sighing at Max. "Oh, that's so great you're living with one of your... friends, dear! Have fun, okay?" She comments. "And tell us if you have any... developments!" She adds teasingly, and passes the phone back to Max. She leaves the room, and Max bursts out laughing again.
"You moved in with Drew Hayden?!" He asks, still laughing.
Or: May's hotel cancels on her, Drew is looking for a roommate, there's an obvious solution here, the magazines think they're dating, and Max and Misty are fed up.

The last candidates trickled in, and immediately caught your eye. They seemed… different. One was a man in a sharp suit, briefcase in hand. Another had long blonde hair and wore traditional robes. And then there was a boy around your age, dressed head to toe in green. Something about that felt oddly comforting. If you died here, at least you'd be in relatable company.
You figured it might be a good idea to talk to them. You started walking toward them, only to catch a glimpse of white hair. Another boy about your age, hands in his pockets, moving like he was killing time in a shopping mall. His eyes flicked over to you, narrowed in mild interest, like he was analysing you. His demeanour was completely different from the candidates you just spotted. What was his problem?
