Alex raises his eyebrows. “But . . . ?”
Gaze slipping to the ceiling, Henry nods once. “It is not . . .” He says, making a face as his eyes meet Alex’s again. “Dissimilar to James Bond.”
Alex nods. “So . . .” He trails off, the information still processing. It’s a bit like his mind is buffering as he makes sense of it. It’s so little information, yet so much all at once. Like someone’s thrown an encyclopedia at his head and given him a cliff notes explanation expecting him to know it word for word. “That would mean—I’m dating James Bond?” He blinks, sitting up straight. “Oh my god,” he exclaims with sudden realization. “I’m a Bond Girl.”

“Dunno, kinda looks like you know what you’re doing. Are those macarons?” Alex asks incredulously after a little while, and a moment later Henry sees him start slowly approaching out of the corner of his eye. “I didn’t know princes could bake.”
“I’d wager not many of them can,” Henry replies as he works, letting one corner of his mouth tug upward.

It’s his more than he could have imagined in his wildest dreams. That is, until he discovers that also in his category is his mortal enemy: Henry Fox – generically attractive, completely boring and part of an acting dynasty that stretches back generations. In short, everything Alex hates about Hollywood.

“You could be my business.” Roy ignored the jolt of how right those words felt. Ignored Jamie’s own stunned, gaping expression. He raised a hand and cupped Jamie’s jaw, kissed him with all the barely contained, pent up everything he had been feeling about Jamie Tartt since he’d swaggered his way into the locker room at Nelson Road. It wasn't necessarily a nice kiss, but it was a pretty fucking great kiss, in Roy's estimation.

“Jamie?” Roy says, and now he sounds almost worried. Jamie’s lost in the tones of his voice, too distracted to come to his senses, to hang up the phone and wish for death over the humiliation that would inevitably follow this.
“Mmgh,” he manages, weak and rut-dumb. His tongue feels too big for his mouth. He says something that might have once been Roy’s name, but it comes out mangled, drawn out until it’s almost all vowels, thick and syrupy.
Over the line, he can hear Roy inhale sharply, like he’s only just caught on to what’s happening.
