Summary
She had lived twenty lives in Midgard and she lived by only one rule: don't get attached. She broke it for him.
She is the last Röddborn and she carries the Urðrödd, the Voice of Fate, a power older than the gods themselves. But the God of Mischief found out, made a plan, and executed the plan. He also fell in love with her, which wasn't part of the plan, but that didn't stop him from going through said plan.
"Love is a dagger. A weapon to be wielded far away or up close. You can see yourself in it, it's beautiful, until it makes you bleed — but ultimately, when you reach for it, it isn't real."
Or that time when the God of Mischief truly believed that Love is a dagger and inadvertently stabbed himself with it.
