Never one for the spotlight, she wishes that everyone would stop fussing over her and worrying so much--particularly her husband whose concern for her grows only stronger the longer she is on bedrest. It's a relief when she receives a surprise visit from her level-headed sister-in-law who offers her light-hearted and affectionate sympathies as the only other person who truly knows what it's like to be pregnant and fussed over by a concerned and protective Vaude boy 24/7! Vanessa admits, however, she'll never really understand what it's like to be married to Langris. Finnes is not sure she fully understands it herself yet, but she has never doubted how much he cherishes her. Not all love is fanfare and fireworks. Some love is quiet and steadfast showing up in the smallest every day things--sweet like cherries. Domestic-Fluff and Babies! A multi-shipper's take on a possible future! [Pairings: Finnes x Langris and Vanessa x Finral because why not? Also, major focus on Finnes' and Vanessa's friendship, and the four of them as a family!] There is one bad word, but the rest is fluff! Cheers!

Summary
When rainstorms plague the Clover Kingdom for more than a week, Langris asks his Captain for an afternoon off to handle some "personal business." The torrential downpour brings back memories of the terrible storms in the summer after his brother left House Vaude and reminds Langris of the reasons he may not hate the rain nearly as much as he used to.
This is really about Langris and Finnes' friendship, but they are engaged/in an arranged marriage like in the canon (and you could take it in a romantic way if you wanted, I guess?) so I tagged both. Friendship Fluff, Slight Hurt/Comfort, and Slice of Life.

Summary
The absolute last place Langris Vaude wants to be is in the crowd of rowdy patrons at the most popular restaurant and bar in the Clover Kingdom, particularly since said establishment is owned and operated by two of his brother's former squad mates. His plans to get the bottle of wine he needs and leave quickly, however, are thwarted by a certain drunk witch who delights in teasing him--much to Langris' chagrin. But when Langris gets a little too tipsy...er...honest and Vanessa gets a little too intuitive, he realizes they might actually have more in common than he would've ever imagined.
Langris and Vanessa's Friendship (because I think they might/could actually get along one day). Also, a little bit of Charmy & Vanessa's Friendship (and Business-Partnership--I'd love to see them open a restaurant and bar together one day!), Vanessa & Finral's Friendship, and Langris & Finral's Brotherly Relationship (especially in later chapters). Post-Canon/Future. Rating for some language.
