In 2018, Samuel Rodrigues was reported dead, and Jack “Raiden” Sears was officially a criminal. Not many people have heard from Raiden since, his attempts to keep a low profile have been successful… but not just from his own efforts.
Sam wakes up in a quiet, unfamiliar city, with no one but a familiar foe for company. Finding themselves unable to leave the city, they're forced to be civil with one another as they figure out where everyone has gone, while wrestling with the fallout of what should have been Sam’s fitting death and Raiden's decisions.

But different organisations are also interested in getting Pluto back to Earth, and it's in space that Raiden encounters the pilot of the Revenge Prototype Camaxtli Patera...

He slowly blinks, trying to agree to the signal. That was him. That he knew. He focused harder, the figure coming into view better. His immediate reaction was to be afraid at the sight—a red eye staring back at him, the other impossibly black. The teeth hardly made sense. Was this a ghost? A monster?
But then he spoke.“I’m glad you’re awake… you’re going to be alright now, Sam.”
A Cyborg comes across a body, moments after the man had been slain. He was surprised to have recognized the man and in a split second decision, he brings the corpse across the state of Colorado and works to revive him.
