After one of his longer patrols and stopping by Delmar's, Peter stumbles across a homeless man. On what he convinces himself is little more than a whim brought about by his empathetic nature, he gives the guy one of his sandwiches, taking no offense in the other's wary response nor in the way he kept his gaze hidden under his pulled down cap.
It soon becomes something of a tradition, of sorts - the two meeting at the spot late in the day to share a meal.But there's more to the man than Peter realizes, and secrets are meant to unfold.

Summary
It wasn’t that she was unaware that most of the avengers had enough trauma to sink the titanic, but confronting it so directly was jarring. Did S.H.I.E.L.D or S.W.OR.D (or whatever acronym of the day they used) ever provide counseling for that? She pictured the ever impassive Fury holding out a feelings wheel and asking the avengers to point out which one they were experiencing and snorted. Not likely.
Surely the Winter Soldier had the support of Sam and the Wakandans or some significant other to help him though it all. He didn’t need her concern. Darcy committed to putting Bucky Barnes and his pretty eyes out of her mind. Mostly though, she tried to forget how right it had felt to hear her name on his lips.

Bucky groaned again and shuffled in the seat, still laying on his back.
"He's not anymore. He was-"
Darcy quickly cut off his vain protests.
"Semantics Steve!" She hissed as she bit the nail on her thumb. "If he dies in my house I want a new house. I'm not living in a haunted house."
Steve nodded. "Will do Lewis."
Darcy didn't realise that when she gave Steve her burner number she'd become the safe house. But here she was, the number one designated Bucky babysitter.
