The problem with tonight is that Charles sort of forgets himself. He usually knows when to back off, when the slide of tongues and traveling hands gets to be too much, when he can feel things picking up heat in ways he really can't have them doing.

Charles has been locked in an enchanted cock cage for over ten years now. Once he and Edwin get together, he tries to avoid taking things to far with him, as much as he wants to. He only has so much restraint, however, and Edwin may not be as put off by Charles's problem as he feared.

The iron collar sizzles against his neck as he struggles, but Charles doesn’t give a shit. All he cares about is stopping the god-awful sounds that are coming from the next room. Edwin’s already been screaming for so long that if he had a living throat, he would have yelled himself hoarse, but no. It’s been hours of ear-splitting screaming, and Edwin’s voice hasn’t died down; if anything, it’s gotten worse.
But it’s not the screaming that’s getting to Charles. No, it’s the begging. The Edwin Charles knows is proud. Proud to the point that he honestly goes too far sometimes. The Edwin Charles knows wouldn’t beg for anything ever. The Edwin Charles knows is so scarred from hell that iron burns don’t get any response at all.
So, what the hell is Esther doing to make Edwin scream like that?!

But something had rattled Edwin on the way back to the office, leaving him as tense as Charles has ever seen him: gripping the edge of the desk until his knuckles go white and staring into the distance instead of picking out a book, or speculating about their next case
