Summary
Euijoo’s poor heart is still beating too fast and loud and skipping too many beats to count as Euijoo stands there, stupidly frozen. He forces his eyes off of Nicholas for a few seconds to search for Maki in the crush of bodies, though a much larger piece of him stays there, on that stage; it always will, tethered in more ways than fate itself can count. Red string, soulmates, star-crossed lovers, whatever you want to call it, all of it ties him inextricably to Nicholas in ways he isn’t ready to admit on a random October night in the middle of a club. He’s not feeling it anymore; the atmosphere that had once afforded him the chance to forget and numb himself now pressed into him, making him panic as his eyes finally found Maki near the front of the stage. He wasn’t looking at the stage, too wrapped up in the bunny-like boy centimeters away from him to be paying attention. Euijoo hated to ruin his fun, but he had to leave. He had to leave now.

Summary
“Nichol,” Euijoo breathes, and the name, his name, the one only Euijoo ever used, the one Nicholas hasn’t heard aloud in over a decade, hits him like a physical force. It’s not a question. It’s not even really an address. It’s just a sound. A sound that means I see you, a sound that means you exist, a sound that means I remember.
“Euijoo,” he whispers, the cadence so achingly familiar.

Summary
. “What would Luné think?” Jo asks, his mouth still too close to Yuma’s tattoo for him to compute properly. Jo’s breath is warm on his skin, so close and yet so far from where Yuma’s aching for him. “About what?” is all Yuma can manage. He’s not really thinking straight.
“If they knew that I drew it.”

Summary
Before Taki registers what’s happening, Yuma’s mouth is close, too close for innocence, to her own. The air shifts and Taki’s heart skips and does somersaults in her chest, her blood thundering so loudly she’s sure Yuma can hear it. In the breath of a second, Yuma’s lips suddenly meet hers. Some people say your first kiss with someone you love isn’t always fireworks; they’re wrong. Taki feels like she’s being lit up from the inside as she tastes Yuma’s cherry chapstick, allowing herself just this one minute to indulge before she convinces herself it was wrong. Taki let herself bask in the shy way Yuma pressed her lips against her own, like she was unsure Taki would reciprocate. Of course Taki would. When had Taki ever told Yuma no?

Summary
“What else can I do to make you feel better, Yuyu?”
His answer immediately pops in his head, but he pretends to think about it to give himself time to work up the courage to ask. Finally, he raises his head, doing his best to give Jo puppy dog eyes – Jo can’t resist. Yuma knows the stuttered breath leaving his mouth has nothing to do with being sick and a lot more to do with being nervous as he slightly pouts and asks, “Kisses?” Jo tenses up, his eyes searching Yuma’s. Then, Jo’s eyes drop to his lips, where Yuma’s tongue has darted out to wet them. His eyes darken but he does nothing. Yuma won’t beg – he does enough of the chasing, he thinks, and if Jo really wants him, he’ll show it. The tension of the moment softens quickly as Jo plants a kiss on Yuma’s forehead. “I’ll tell you what,” he murmurs, moving to pepper kisses over Yuma’s face. “If you’re not sick tomorrow –” a kiss on Yuma’s nose, “-- and I know that you really want this –” a kiss to each of the apples of his cheeks, “I’ll give you all the kisses you want, okay?” he finishes, placing a soft kiss at the corner of Yuma’s lips.

Summary
"How could he possibly explain that the leader’s gentle smiles, his grounding presence, the way he naturally leaned against Nicholas on the couch after a long day, had all taken root inside him?"
Nicholas is coughing up white camellias, and his time is running out.

Summary
Not one person in the school got mad at Riku but Yushi. Not because the boy was scary or anything, he was the opposite—friendly, flirty, pretty, kind, funny, anything you wanted he would probably adapt—he was everything everywhere all at once.
That was the whole problem.
Yushi felt like he was the only one seeing him—REALLY, seeing him. And it was pathetic.

Summary
"Things like what?" Nico presses, his frustration mounting. He switches to Japanese, trying to get them on even footing again.
They’d agreed on this. Japanese for arguments, so Euijoo doesn’t have that advantage. Their Japanese isn’t perfect—it never will be—but that is the point. This way, neither of them can fall back on language as a weapon. It is supposed to level the field, make things fair.
"Existing in the same space as you? Breathing the same air? Tell me, Euijoo, what exactly am I doing wrong here?"
The words hang in the air between them, heavy and charged. Euijoo's eyes dart away, focusing on a point just over Nico's shoulder. "You know what I mean," he mutters.
In Korean.

Summary
A curl of smoke floats into the air between them as Taki leans closer. He lowers his voice, perfectly amused with himself. “I fucking hate your music.”
Taki smiles again, and Yuma knows he’s going to let him get away with it.
