Summary
Trying to explain it makes Glinda realize how little she understands of the past few days – weeks, really: a letter from Elphaba, delivered by a Pigeon at her window, entreating her for help. Elphaba, alive somehow against all odds. And Fiyero too, apparently right there under her nose all along, hideously transformed into that straw abomination. And then transformed again, worse still, back to this state of brokenness, on the edge of death.
Elphaba has been the architect of it all, Glinda thinks, yet barely present. Certainly not explaining or apologizing. Talking about resources and expectations. Telling her that Fiyero didn’t want her involved. Suddenly she feels like the biggest fool of all, for trusting Elphaba yet again despite all of the times she’s been betrayed.

Gamora is not unhappy with her life, which is more than she has ever been able to say before. But she doesn't necessarily have everything she wants, either. There was something different about working with the Guardians; about working with Quill. A familiarity and a spark that had made it thrilling in a way she wouldn’t have thought possible. A feeling she would very much like to have again, dangerous as that might feel to admit.
Gamora is not bound by anyone or anything now. She does what she wants to do. Including, but not limited to, traveling to Earth on a whim to see Peter Quill.

Returning Fiyero's jacket is the right thing to do.
It's just that simple: He left it in the forest while providing her assistance, and he ought to have it back.
It doesn’t matter that it was abandoned through his own carelessness, in his all-too-predictable haste to get away from her. It doesn’t matter that he surely has as many jackets as Galinda has dresses, and plenty of funds to purchase more besides. And it most certainly doesn’t matter that the man happens to be housed in the single most inconveniently out-of-the-way excuse for a dormitory possible.

That same part of her said that he was going to leave her when he’d managed to fully think the situation through, would have no choice, so they might as well get it out of the way now.
