that’s what someone came knocking at his door. he was found washed up ashore. warden, a man resembling you was found washed up ashore. each quick change of scenery witnesses the hastened pace of his legs and his ragged breathing alike. the rice in the fields swishes back and forth and carefully gazes at his steps alternating one another too rapidly, faltering, occasionally on the verge of tripping, slipping, his stumbling soles asking a forgiveness that he doesn’t have time for. desperation in his stride has the lone harbinger panting behind him until they manage to scramblingly catch up, slightly in the warden’s big shadow, palms on knees, bent from the fatigue that doesn’t seem to appear in any of the other present persons: fishermen holding in their rugged hands the clan’s mesh nets, diverting their shocked attention towards the figure of the black warden, the sun flogging his silhouette, his chest rising in big puffs of hot air, his pupils dilated not for the strain nor the light; fixed on the ruined white coat enveloping a man skimmed by the transparent waves. -
