Tern always loved his hometown, Mapleleaf. Despite being a lanky, wimpy, coward that might also be mildy deranged, he felt sure that Mapleleaf was safe, right? Nowhere to die, get killed, even the dragons hadn't managed to raze it. Just Tern, his town, and his friends he kept secret from everybody else. His special friends... the only ones that knew about his secret... But that all changed the day that a strange man, from the middle of nowhere, showed up, and Tern's entire world was flipped upside down.
Now, Tern had to go on this long, winding trip through the continent, with a bunch of danger literally everywhere! Tern wasn't paranoid, right? And it should've be fine to just curl up in a hole where you knew you'll live rather than risk your life for some dumb "adventure", right?
But after an accident, Tern watches his life change forever. But Tern might have to take many more risks than he was ready for, including revealing his secret, just so he can save one of the things he holds closest to his heart.

Written by a NightWing living in the time of Darkstalker who is considered to be the original pioneer of scavenger research, this guide hopes to teach dragons across Pyrrhia how to not only keep scavengers as pets, but befriend them. QuickTalon came quite close to realizing the truth about scavengers, but was sadly interrupted by the rise of Darkstalker and all his research was presumed lost when he fled with his fellow NightWings to the volcano island. Fortunately, this scroll was remarkably well-preserved in the library in the Old NightWing City, and was recovered by Starflight when he went through the scrolls there hoping to recapture some lost knowledge for students at Jade Mountain Academy to be exposed to. Predictably, he knew exactly who to give this particular scroll to.
This will be posted category by category. I don't have much of a structure for this guide beyond "write down ideas when they come into my head" so I'll post new chapters when I feel like I've got all my ideas onto paper.
