Summary
If you've got a friend or relative who isn't really experienced with the ancient Greeks, they might assume they were all Stoic philosophers and misogynists. This is somewhat true - Diogenes was quite influential, and many Athenian men genuinely believed their wives should be locked up at home.
And then there's Alcibiades.
The bisexual pretty boy of Athens who dated Socrates, whored around Ancient Greece, and helped change the course of history during the Peloponnesian War. Arguably the most fun historical figure to learn about, so what better way to honour his memory than a rude farce?
[Just to be clear, because I realised there's some shared tags here, this has nothing to do with Assassin's Creed.]

"You know..." Mr. Qi started, summoning the Fae's attention like a circle. "I was born an ordinary boy... but I made a decision, early in life, that I would become extraordinary.”
Eden just stared. On some level, he just wanted Qi to stop saying cryptic shit like this and not elaborating, but it made him curious about where the man came from. He knew virtually nothing about him beyond what he had seen. Who was he? What was he? Eden supposed he'd never know, not in this lifetime.
Oh well. Time to play blackjack.
My take on Mr. Qi's origin story, from his first memory kneeling on a cliff somewhere in the mid 1530's, to his affair with the court jester, to his defying of the gods, to the present day. Works best if you've read my other fics first, but can be read on its own. Enjoyyy! :)

Summary
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Mayor Lewis, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
The farmer is married. The town is stable. The people are happy. Everything is fine. Since Lewis was roped into officiating the wedding of a living shadow to his local farmer (who also turned out to be more than he seemed), life has been fairly peaceful for the old mayor.
That was until the governor wanted a visit.
This itself isn't a problem, but when two sides of Lewis' world meet, his week is about to get a lot more dangerous.

Summary
Mayor Lewis is a rational man in a normal town. He does not believe in the supernatural, or in magic, or in monsters of any sort.
That was true seven hours ago.
But a request to officiate a rather unusual wedding spirals into an adventure, and the humble Mayor has run-ins with people made of shadow, rodent-like Dwarves, practitioners of magic, and much more!
