Summary
If he was being honest with himself, which he usually tried to be, than he was perhaps treating this feller with a bit more kindness than usual because he was attractive. Charles wasn't stupid enough to act on it. It was just as he'd thought earlier - they were strangers, they knew nothing of each other, and the world was a dangerous place. But he also wasn't one to turn away from a nice view just because it was tempting. Especially when said view was only temporary. It was best to enjoy these things while he still could. He could handle the temptation just fine, even if this feller was handsome and good to his horses and had a charming drawl that twanged against Charles's heartstrings.

Summary
This universe's X-Men were not his own. They were not replacements for the friends, family, and spouses he had lost. But they had all lost someone, too. And there was no shame in trying to form a bond with them again. It would probably be difficult, and it would probably be weird, but they had all been given a unique opportunity. It would be a shame to waste it.

Summary
This was the place where Logan came to be alone. It was his refuge from the bustle and noise of the mansion and his private little escape for when he needed some quiet but didn’t need to go live with a pack of wolves in Canada, or whatever the hell it was he got up to. This cabin was his place for a soft reset. It wasn’t where he came to forget, or to lose himself. Scott supposed a man like Logan probably tried to remember as much of the good in his life as he could, and the cabin was stuffed with it. He could have his quiet, he could have his little reconnect with nature, but he could do it while sipping instant coffee from a mug straight out of the mansion’s staff room, and looking at stuffed bear he’d won for a girl with a crush.
Scott also understood that Logan was nervous. He was watching Scott take things in. Scott was the first person to ever visit here, one of few people to even know this place existed. They were going to be here together, all weekend, and Scott was notoriously picky and methodical and resistant to change. Logan had every reason to believe Scott would hate it here. Scott suddenly found himself determined not to.
Scott and Logan spend the weekend in a cabin.

Summary
A home for all my Jean/Scott/Logan fics that take place more or less in the same universe/with the same characters. The versions of Logan, Scott, and Jean depicted are more inspired by their comic book and cartoon counterparts than what we see in the movies. I may eventually have some AUs that branch off from this "canon" (specifically, some ideas I have involving Laura Kinney and Nathan Summers), but this is where all fics I write with these versions of the characters will live.

Summary
“If I’ve meant anything to you,” Charles said, pulling their twined hands between their chests, pressing closer. “Come with me.”
Arthur pressed his sweaty forehead to Charles’s shoulder. “I don’t know how to convince you that you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Charles tightened his hand over Arthur’s. He swiped a thumb over the trigger callus on Arthur’s right pointer, traced the cuts and bumpy healed breaks of a life soaked in violence.
“Come with me,” Charles repeated. “Or admit that best isn’t the same as most important."
Three years after leaving the gang, Arthur receives a telegram from Dutch. Charles loses his fucking mind.

Charles parts his lips just a moment and Arthur goes limp. It ain't right. Charles ain’t kissing back. Arthur opens his eyes and Charles’ are blown wide. His lips ain’t parted in invitation, but surprise. Arthur’s an idiot. Got this all wrong.
“Forgive me.”
Charles is looking at Arthur, taking in his pale pink face and his petal thin skin. The dark circles around his bloodshot eyes. Charles huffs softly, and his lips pick up in the most infinitesimal smile. His gaze drops to Arthur’s lips.
He’s gonna kiss me.
“No.” Arthur jerks away. Not like this.Charles pities him. Gonna give him what he wants because he’s a damned man. Give a dying man an IOU; he ain’t gonna ever collect. But Arthur ain’t dead yet. He’d have to live knowing he weren’t really wanted. Loved, sure, but not the way Arthur aches to be loved.
Just once in his life.
