Summary
Steve needs Jack, he needs him to love him, to want him, to forgive him. But that takes time, and while he has more time than most given how he's still hiding out in the Unknown, Steve isn't really known for his patience. Especially when he thinks someone is already after Jack's attention, so desperate times call for desperate measures. No matter the cost in the end.

The material of Dream’s thoughtful gift clung to his body, soaked through with sweat and other bodily fluids.
