“This is terrifying,” Hongjoong mumbles as Seonghwa carefully brushes the applicator over his lashes. “I have so much respect for people who do this regularly. Honestly, I think a good makeover could turn any man into a feminist.”
Seonghwa has to stop in the middle of applying the mascara so she can giggle, her whole body shaking with the force of it. “Do you even hear yourself right now?”
Hongjoong, begrudgingly, lets Seonghwa do his makeup.

Summary
And maybe it's a bit crazy to be developing a tiny crush on the guy he just met not even twenty-four hours ago, but sue him, Seonghwa is beautiful and his kid is adorable and Hongjoong has been alone for so long.
“What are you thinking about?” Seonghwa asks after a while of comfortable silence, curiosity written over his features.
Hongjoong stares out at the water, at the way the stars touch the sea. “I don't really know,” Hongjoong says, and it's not quite a lie. He really doesn't know how to explain what's going on in his mind, and his thought processes freeze when he looks at Seonghwa anyway. “Do you think we should head back?”
Seonghwa chews his lower lip for a moment before shaking his head. “Let's stay here a little longer.”
Hongjoong doesn't question it or protest. When Seonghwa’s hand finds his under the water, he sends a thank you to the constellations above him.

Summary
It was always going to happen eventually. And no matter how many years passed, Seonghwa knew he'd never be ready. It's hitting him hard, now, since the graduation ceremony is in less than two weeks and Yunho moves out a few days later; he’ll still be in Seoul, but on the opposite side of the city in an off-campus apartment with a few close friends.

So as soon as the call comes in, Seonghwa sighs, preparing himself mentally as he picks up the phone and puts on his customer service voice, as Hongjoong likes to call it. “Hello?”

Summary
He’s familiar with the ghosts that inhabit his apartment now. There are a few who come in and out, regulars going about their day without a care for him. Even when he gets bored and watches the middle aged man in his bedroom dance badly to no music, they’ve never noticed him back.
Until Seonghwa, that is.

Summary
When Seonghwa’s tour boat capsizes, sending all of its occupants into the churning waves, he and seven others manage to make it to a small island on the horizon, overgrown with vegetation and clearly bearing no other signs of human life. With high tensions, they are forced to work together to survive, and he easily gets along with all but one of his fellow castaways.
Hongjoong is closed off and hot-headed, and eventually Seonghwa gives up on the possibility of civility between the two of them. Still, as the nights come and go and time seems to stretch into one continual loop, he realizes there is more to Hongjoong than he’d initially thought.
The island becomes their new normal, and Seonghwa becomes so accustomed to life there that he can hardly remember what it was like before the world had forgotten about them. Never did they anticipate a rescue, nor the world’s obsession with the eight boys who came back from the dead.
