The question stops Tommy’s train of thought, one headed straight off-rail and down the side of a cliff. “What?”
“You’ve never wanted to bludgeon me with a stone, right?” Techno asks. Tommy shakes his head. As much as he might dislike Techno at times, like when he forces the kid to work the fields for hours, he’s never wanted to hurt him. Only the voices do. Tommy has spent so much of his life with the voices as his identity, that he forgot there was a boy before that. Techno wants him to know that he is Tommy and that the burden he’s been forced to carry does not define him as a person.

Tommy never chose to be cursed like this. Neither did Techno. They reflect over things together under a starry sky.

Summary
Before Wilbur was ten, he watched his mother die to the hands of pirates human pirates. No one grieved except him.
Born into a village where their very blood is despised for being adventurous, eighteen-year-old Wilbur and fifteen-year-old-Tommy always knew this place would never be home. No matter how hard Wilbur tried to make it work, their village would never accept the brothers as long as they remember their mother as a rebellious mermaid. When the two finally reach their breaking point after an upsetting encounter with the sea’s religion, Wilbur hesitantly takes the first opportunity he can to leave town to give his little brother a better home.
Teaming up with an undead amnesiac who rocks pink hair, Wilbur and Tommy set off on an adventure to find the ancient God of the Seven Seas and have him grant them their desires.
Along their journey, Techno slowly starts to piece his memories back together, and the two brothers finally find out the reason behind all the merlings' insistent prayers. It seems that even their King, much like their mother, couldn’t keep from the surface either.

“You have to promise to tell me all about them!” he says, dragging out the all. “And- and you have to super-pinky-promise that you- you’ll tell them about me!” Tommy holds out his pinky finger towards Techno.
The child is too happy and stumbles over his words. Techno thinks it’s foolish to promise something he may not have any control over, but he does so anyway. A tiny pinky interlocks with a much bigger one, and Tommy only pulls away once he decides Techno’s promised hard enough.
“I will, I promise.”

Summary
When Puffy, the matron at Tommy’s orphanage, decides that she’s had enough of the teen’s behavior, she assigns him to a volunteer who works for a program that helps troubled teens. At first, he laughed in her face, but after hearing her talk about transferring him to another home on the phone, Tommy reluctantly plays along and attends the meetings for the program.
Techno, Tommy’s volunteer who has the stupidest name, tells him that starting fights and shoplifting is only going to put him in jail someday. Tommy laughed in his face too. Starting fights and shoplifting are some of his favorite things, so why should he stop because of this stupid "volunteer"?
But when Techno makes a breakthrough and gets Tommy to talk to him, the two find they have some similarities between them. What will happen when Tommy, a kid who has only known trouble since birth, warms up to a pink-haired bastard with a stupidly cool car and a rare smile?
or: Tommy's not a good kid, never has been, but maybe Techno makes him want to try.

Tommy sniffles. It takes all of Wilbur’s strength not to gather the boy up in his arms; to hold him there and never let go. The way he held his baby brother’s cold, dying body on the battlefield except this time, he is warm and breathing and alive.
But the shaking boy before him is not the boy Wilbur knew.
“In our world, you died,” he says softly.

Summary
The child—Tommy—had taken a liking to Techno early on. If he refused to nap, Phil or Wilbur would deliver the baby to Techno’s arms; soon enough, Techno would be the proud owner of a sleeping prince.
Tommy also liked to curl his fingers around Techno’s thumb. When he began teething, he gnawed on the skin there like it was a particularly tasty lollipop. Wilbur, of course, thought this was the most hilarious thing he'd even seen.
Alternatively: Philza and Techno stage a coup in order to remove the Antarctic Empire's wicked sovereigns from power. They do not expect to near-immediately take charge of the Empire's heir, nor to raise the child as their own over the next sixteen years.

They’re only a couple of feet from the glass door but sweat is peeling down his neck.
It opens with a ding, Tubbo walks straight through followed by Ranboo looming behind him. Tommy steps onto the glassy, pale-yellow tiles. He doesn’t look up from the floor. Doesn’t dare move his head as the two shadows in front of him move out of his sight.
Someone screams.
“Quiet! Hands up!”
Or, notoriously villainous and clever bank robber duo Tubbo and Ranboo recruit self-trained explosives expert Tommy onto their team to run a couple of jobs with them.
And then things go a little south.

“Hey kid, sorry I didn't see you there. How can I help you?”
The kid shoots up and he looks scared out of his mind for a second before scowling. “I’m not a fuckin’ kid,” he snaps. Wilbur laughs softly, the kids eyes are blue, they remind him of Phil.
“Right, how can I help you?”
The kids’ bristling demeanor dies down instantly and he looks suddenly much more nervous. The kids posture is shit, Wilbur notices, his shoulders are up and slouched over his chest almost protectively. He starts fidgeting with sleeves of his shirt and he quickly but quietly pulls out a five dollar bill, he slides it across the bar to Wilbur.
“Could I have a- could I get a-“ He pauses, shakes his head and looks up.
“Hamburger and sweet potato fries,” He says it with a confident voice but scared eyes and body language.or phil, techno, and wilbur own a diner and tommy becomes a regular customer. one found family arc later and they adopt him
