"Is not any life to be mourned? Or are demons so removed that you cannot understand the tragedy of loss?" The healer looked at him, almost pleading for him to understand her grief, to bear its heavy weight with her.
After watching her for countless nights, he was unnerved to feel a softening in his chest at the thought of her pain.

Summary
Turning onto her side, Sakura curled up against Madara’s bare chest. Inhaling deeply, she held onto his scent. It brought to mind images of bonfires alighting the night in the deep, dark forests. The smell soothed her, made her feel at peace. Sighing with contentment, Sakura pressed her cheek against Madara’s chest and listened to the beating of her husband’s heart.
A warm feeling pooled low within her belly. Husband. Her husband. Sakura thought it had been hard enough on her self control when they’d been unmarried and forced by society to remain chaste. Now though, that he was hers and she was his, it felt all but impossible to keep her hands off of him.
