Six months ago, the popular space opera Lost Galaxy did the unthinkable: it made the controversial enemy-soldier ship MattKira canon. That would be bad enough on its own, but then anti blogger Rey finds a MattKira fanfiction reblogged onto her dashboard. Her solution? Start hate-reading it and posting a running commentary on just how bad it is.
One problem.

All pretense dropped, he runs to her, kneeling next to her prone form. Her hair is falling out of her usual three buns, it’s dirty, and a little matted. He doesn't even attempt to stop himself from pushing it out of her face.
"Where are you?" he whispers.
Her head lolls a bit as her eyes open. She smiles up at him.
"I knew you'd come." Her face goes sad again. "But you're not real." Tears come now. She's delirious. "I didn't want to die alone."

Meanwhile in the aftermath of his father's death, Kylo Ren finds himself at a crossroads; questioning the sacrifices he's made to the dark side as his connection to Rey grows stronger and his loyalties begin to shift.
