At the end of the Chapter One of Main Storyline, Rover dies.
An outraged Wuthering Waves player gets transported into Rover's body at the beginning of the game, determined to survive and to bend the plot of the story to his will. And to meet Jiyan, by the way. He doesn't notice as his meddling makes an antagonist, Scar, take a great interest in him.
Strongly inspired by novel "The Scum Villain Self-Saving System" (you don't need to read it to understand the fic).

It's before Shigaraki woke up, before Touya revealed his identity to the world, before Keigo killed Twice. Hell, it's before Twice even slipped up and told him where Shigaraki was and what he was doing.
It's in the past. Far in the past.
That doesn't make any sense.

He’s rude, doesn’t cook or clean, doesn’t pay rent, raises the water and electricity bill way too fucking much, walks (and floats, yes, he fucking floats) around the apartment naked sometimes, keeps eating Childe’s edibles, and randomly hogs a room just to wank for over eight hours. He’s not much different from a freeloading roommate, except that he has horns, can go for weeks without having to eat, sleep, or do anything, and looks like a normal person to anyone who has the displeasure of coming to Childe’s apartment.

How long had the scribe been ill? He hadn't a clue. All he knew was he was dying, and the only one able to help him was no longer the man he was dying for. Kaveh was safe, yes, but something had changed in him and his life seemed to change for the better, much to Alhaitham's dismay.
Now the scribe's days are numbered, but unfortunately, a simple confession will not be enough. It's down to him to decide if he'll be selfish or let the man he's dying for live ignorant and happily.

Kaveh gets stuck in a time loop, repeating March 11th over and over and over again. Powerless to stop the reset at midnight, Kaveh works to solve the puzzle. His methods range from simply waiting to his own gory and glorious suicide. Yet, he keeps waking up the next day to Cyno banging on his door to play Genius Invokation.
By contrast, Alhaitham, who is also stuck in the loop, decides this is the best opportunity to understand what makes Kaveh tick.
And like always, their communication is awful, both of them believing they are alone in the loop.
