Did you break one of my prized frog possessions or something?”Of all the things to fucking say, of course Naruto would come up with something so utterly stupid and incomprehensible that - Sasuke realised with a jolt - it would unknowingly bring him out of his perpetual downward spiral of thought and tumultuous emotions. It let him finally pull himself together enough to tell Naruto what he’d been building up for so long.

That is until a certain blond, boisterous hero jumps in and saves him by offering up the most logical solution:
“Marriage,” Shikamaru drawled, smoke following the exhale from the pipe he’d been nursing since, well, the beginning of the trial. “You want to marry Sasuke.”

Unmoored, unsettled, Naruto looks to his motherland for answers. Uzushio calls her son home. The road to Uzushiogakure is long, but Sasuke walks it with him.

Summary
The only reason Sasuke keeps coming back to Konoha is because of that mattress. The bed is his only respite. And perhaps the dumbass who owns said bed might be worth it, too.
Or, another canon divergence 699 that showers Sasuke with too much (deserved) love and attention that we all need for these unprecedented times.
Title means "Bonded Light". It'll make sense when you're about 100K in.
