“I fought with Papa over it once. Only once- when I was fifteen. He wasn't mad… Papa didn’t get mad. But he was disappointed. He told me he expected more of me. That people in our position couldn’t want too much, that we owed too much to everyone else to afford to be able to want… and I understood that. I swear- I understood."
There was a pause, and he heard her sharp intake of breath. In a sudden outburst of anger, she banged her fist against his chest, but it was weak.
"I played by the rules, damnit! I did everything right! I grinned and beared it, I never brought it up again-" Each sentence was enunciated by an onslaught from her fist (still weak, not because she was, but because he knew she had no intention of hurting him, even while upset). He grabbed her wrists on instinct and with that, just as soon as the outburst had flared up, the anger dissipated, and all the will to stay angry (at the world, at fate) seemed to escape her. Breathing shallow, she forced out, "So why… why did it turn out like this anyway?"

Summary
One way or another, it would have to end. But did it have to be like this?
She remembered the past weeks, how they had passed too quickly for her to remember most of the days. She remembered the nights, though. The nights were anything but quick, anything but routine. She had always loved the night, and perhaps now she loved it even more.
Did she love it more for who she had spent it with, or for how she had spent it? Would anything ever be the same for her after this, or would everything as she knew it be smeared with engine grease fingerprints, fogged up and smudgy and all out of place in a world that had once been pristine?
Those halting thoughts were what answered the question for her. Yes, she thought. Yes, like this.
They were in too deep for things to end any differently.

(Or at least he wants to think its destiny gods he hopes its their destiny he loves her too much so much to ever want to let her go and the idea of her not feeling nearly the same would be enough to decimate him he doesn't know what he'd do without her what would he do if one day she said ‘I don't love you’ Han thinks he’d fall apart from the hurt right then and there but if she didn’t want to be with him he’d never force her he’d never do that to her he’d get encased in carbonite a thousand times before he hurt her like that-)
