Summary
Everyone has a creature companion.
Kurosawa’s is a small, serpentine eastern dragon named Kanpai — charismatic, perceptive, and deeply frustrated by seven years of watching its human consciously restrain his feelings for Adachi.
Adachi’s companion is a freshwater turtle named Nibby, calm and gentle and entirely unaware that it's the center of Kanpai’s attention.
As Kanpai grows increasingly bold in its attempts to befriend (aka flirt with) Nibby at the office, Kurosawa finds himself fighting a losing battle to keep his feelings contained.
Especially when Adachi remains oblivious — and Kanpai absolutely refuses to be.

Every time he allows himself to think about the person he loves, or even just feel the way he feels about them, he turns into a beast.
It's a shame, albeit a beautiful one, that he happens to be in love with Adachi Kiyoshi, and has been for the past seven years.
