Summary
“Are you breaking up with me?”
The rasp in Jungkook’s voice is undeniably woven with fear and grief, and it rips a piece of Jimin’s being from his existence—because Jimin freezes. No words appear on his lips, no answer ready. His mouth stays shut as Jungkook silently weeps, waiting for an answer.
“I don’t know.” Jimin finally says, biting the inside of his cheeks.
Or, in which Jimin used to believe that nothing could come between him and Jungkook. They were the perfect couple—loving, understanding, supportive—it was all so lovely, so easy. Until it wasn't.

“Tell me, omega—” Jungkook purrs over the pulsing in Jimin's ears. “Do you know how much money was riding on you for that fight?"
Of course Jimin knows. "Forty-seven thousand," he mumbles.
The alpha hums. “Forty-seven thousand. Lost. Not to mention all the investors who have pulled out entirely after your little—spectacle.”
Jimin’s breath hitches when fingers tangle in his hair, yanking his head back.
“I don't care that you lied about being an alpha.” Jungkook’s tone drops lower. “But I care that you made a fool out of me and my club by letting yourself be caught like that.” His grip tightens. “My best fighter—Going into heat, in the middle of a match, submitting like a fucking bitch."

Jungkook stares at her. Why the hell does she sound so accusing? It’s not like he’s not knotting on purpose.
“I’m aware.”
“You’ve been presented for over two years and haven’t fully knotted once,” Dr. Kang shakes her head. “That’s most likely the cause of your problems."
Or: Before surprisingly presenting as a wolf, Jungkook had been content with his life as a normal human, blissfully ignorant of everything wolf-related. There are many things he could’ve lived without knowing. Like the knotting thing. Or worse, that Park fucking Jimin, his work partner and the literal bane of his existence, happens to have the most delicious scent of all.

Jungkook follows his gaze and lifts an eyebrow.
"Would you look at that—" His lips curl into a grin. "He can talk back."
