At least, Kanin and Allison have a day of rest. Someone needs to stay up and make sure no one decides to kill Kanin in his sleep, and it's not like Jackal needs the sleep anyway. Besides— this is probably the closest thing he'll get to an actual conversation. Might as well make the most of it.
