After the events of Whole Cake Island, normality has returned to the Straw Hat Pirate crew. But something seems off about the idiot cook, and a certain swordsman doesn't know how to process how he feels about that. He's not the only one that notices that dart-brow doesn't fight with him as much anymore right? And that he seems a lot more jumpier than usual? What's with that? Not that he cares or whatever. The one time they finally do get into a fight though, Sanji seems to be holding back. How fucking disrespectful.

“Anyway,” Zoro continued amid Sanji’s silence, “I’m not going to die.”
Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.

Life has been calm since Luffy became the Pirate King. For Blackleg Sanji, it couldn't be better: his nautical restaurant at All Blue and his relationship with the old, idiotic greatest swordsman in the world.
However, they are still pirates, and problems happen again: especially when Zoro is pulled into the past, causing Sanji to come to his rescue.
And there they were, 20 years ago.

Sanji suspects Zoro might have an oral fixation. The asshole lifts weights with his jaw, for fuck's sake. Why else would someone choose to constantly wield a hilt between their teeth?
Or Sanji might just be obsessed with his lips. Who's to say?

“I…I just…” Willing his brain to shut up for even a split second, Sanji ghosted his fingers along Zoro's jawline, nearly oblivious to the jolt of shock it sent through other man's frame, and tentatively hooked his thumb in the plump curve of his bottom lip. His thoughts exploded in his skull like rapidfire, too quickly for him to grasp a hold of any of them for more than a few seconds at a time.
When he didn't have to defend from a blade to the throat, his confidence grew despite the fact he knew he should be mortified. His thumb prodded forward, pushing between Zoro's lips until the calloused pad reached the smooth wall of teeth.
And, astonishingly, Zoro’s jaw fell open with a barely audible groan.

It’s a good thing a local blonde finds him in the forest that night to help him back to his inn. Zoro wonders what he’s doing out there so late, but it’s none of his business. He has vampires to hunt, after all.

Zoro's eyes flew open, both of them, and everything snapped into place. His voice sounded off because it wasn't his voice, it was Sanji's, and the voice coming from the bed next to him was his.
The sound of Sanji's voice echoed through the room as he let out one solitary thought.
"Fuck."
