Summary
Something makes a light thump and squeaking sound in the spell repository upstairs and Eddie jumps. He tries to shift focus back on his divination spell. The individual pieces aren’t hard to work with, but he’s still having trouble getting the auto-explainer to actually access the stupid prophecies. He really doesn’t want to show up to tomorrow’s sync meeting empty handed.
There’s another thunk, and what Eddie’s pretty sure is a small whimper of pain.
Eddie sighs and contemplates letting the intruder stay up there until morning. But, no one deserves to literally die by a thousand paper cuts. He grabs his employee stone and trudges upstairs.
Eddie climbs up the ladder to the repositories. He hears that whimper again when he has just two rungs to go.
“Billy…” the person whines. The voice is strangely familiar.

Summary
All Steve knows is that he was in an accident when he was ten that resulted in total amnesia--at least, that's what he's been told. In reality, Steve was one of the numbers, abandoned when Brenner deemed his powers too unstable to work with. With the help of the kids, El is able to unlock Steve's hidden abilities.
Things are hard for Steve as he adapts to his new, constant powers. He struggles to overcome the phycological toll that all lies he's been told over the past nine years. He and the kids also struggle to figure out his powers, as they have a different, more destructive flavor than El's.
Steve's parents make matters worse when they bring a figure from his past life back into his world. Will Steve play into their hands and become the weapon he was always meant to be? What friends will he make along the way? Will the buzzing ever stop?

“Sorry,” Steve says. “I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t make any sense to you, but can I just–”
Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

Summary
Three shots ring out.
Steve hears them before he feels them; a warm, wet pain burning in his torso, intolerably excruciating.
There’s a bundle of squawks and screams, outbursts of panic and anger, and it’s only when Hopper falls forwards to take Steve up into a slightly rough, protective hold, does he realize that two of those shots have lodged themselves in his own flesh and bone. (Realizes that he’d moved, instinctively, to shield El, despite never having spoken to her, who’d the gun had been so precisely pointed at, aimed for.)
Steve Harrington watches his own blood pool and trickle over a series of hands pressed against him, small and large, soft and rugged, and for a moment, wants to stay like this. He can’t.

Eddie and Steve have been spending a lot of time together since Vecna. They're co-parenting kids, getting high every night, and sleeping in the same bed. They basically share a wardrobe too.
He thinks this is dangerous, its like they’re married, the casual sharing of intimacy, this space between them which feels like something and nothing all at the same time. He thinks it’s dangerous for him to pretend Steve sees it the same way, that one day Steve’s droopy, kind eyes are going to see right through him and he’ll lose this. This being a side of Steve’s bed that is his, a nightstand where his rings always pile, a drawer of shirts in Steve’s bedroom that only Eddie uses. He can’t lose it, so he shuts his mouth, turns out the light, and watches the slow breathing of sleep fill Steve’s chest.

Summary
Tired of his constant battles with Skywalker, Mace decides to try out a technique gleaned from the Chancellor and simply flatter Skywalker into submission. It works very well, and soon enough, Mace forms an unlikely bond with Skywalker, complete with nights out at the theater and days spent at Coruscant's annual speeder showcase.
It's an unexpected friendship, certainly. But, Mace reasons, if Anakin spends more time with him than with the Chancellor, than it can only be beneficial for everyone.
(Mace has no idea just how right he is.)
