The final bit of sand in Bill Cipher's hourglass has finally dropped, and with it clattered the crown he held himself so high with. The foundations he placed costing galaxies worth of lives- no- souls- had taken a final bow and exploded into smitherines. Final fragments of himself were mercifully placed in the legs of the axolotl. He had made his choice with who he chose to be, now :the consequences will create themselves.

One accidental misadventure with an anomaly leads to Ford and Mabel lost in a Wisconsin forest during winter, far from their family or signs of civilization. If the cold and snow are not dangerous enough on their own, there is the slight matter of a local creature that lives in that forest. Nothing like being hunted by a vicious monster to induce a little Pines family bonding.
