Sydney thinks that if she found out she was pregnant a little earlier she probably wouldn’t have gone through with it. Like, if she found out before her landlord changed the locks on her apartment, or before the bank sent her all those red letters, or before the pasta dried up, she’d probably have just taken herself to Planned Parenthood, popped the pills and charged it to the game. But as it is, the two blue lines appear on the stick during the worst months of her life, the first months of the pandemic when she’s unemployed and shit scared that her dad is going to get coronavirus and die. And when she sees them, she just thinks: well, this might as well happen. She was a disappointment before. What’s one more thing?
Before she meets Carmy, Sydney has a baby.

ohhhh holy shit. this is. um. yeah. this is actually the oerfect characterization of all of them?? patrick is so unique in this because he isnt like. evil. hes just him, and he is the way he is and he isnt fucking calculated or meticulous he just is. and then art IS meticulous and specific and calculated and he gets called out for it YES. i just love the dynamic between tashi and patrick. and art in between them. because really thats what it is, isnt it? always has been? not patrick, but art.

Eddie has a surprising amount of muscle definition going on in the forearm region. Jamie has witnessed, on four separate occasions, someone do a double take at Eddie’s forearm. Karen from HR still bears the nickname ‘Mugbreaker’ after Eddie turned the corner near her office, coming face to face with her just as he rubbed a hand through the hair at the nape of his neck, exposing the wiry flex of muscle between wrist and elbow, and Karen famously dropped a cup of coffee all over the floor. Ergo, either Eddie goes to the gym, or he’s on steroids.
Eddie is the kind of man who keeps a makeshift itemised medicine cabinet in his third desk drawer, with a padlock on the handle, the key for which he keeps in the inside pocket of his suit jacket, and who administers a library style check-out system of medication whenever anyone asks for a Paracetamol.
Eddie is probably not on steroids.
Eddie's coworker finally convinces him to bring his elusive spouse to an office party. It goes about as well as you might expect, which is to say spectacularly.
