Summary
By sacrificing her soul to save Regina from darkness, Emma Swan accidentally travels back in time, ending up in the Enchanted Forest long before Regina became the dreaded Evil Queen.
Emma will witness all the horrors that happened in the life of the woman for whom she has great affection and for the one who just gave her soul for her to have a happy ending, but in addition to the horrors that led Regina to become the Evil Queen, the newly Dark One will also meet a sweet and innocent Regina who believed in true love and everything that surrounds the story of her own existence.
During her journey through the past, Emma will discover the secrets (some of them dark) that connect her family, Regina's and also Rumple's and that will bring certainty that her parents aren't the perfect heroes they claim to be.
In the meantime Emma will have to deal with the understanding extent of her feelings for Regina and what really led her to sacrifice herself for the brunette.- Language:

“I’m sure there’s people in Storybrooke who would jump at the chance of fucking you, Regina.” Regina makes a face, as if Emma’s words are distasteful, and sure they are but Emma’s out of herself, and if her vocabulary is vulgar while sober, then she doesn’t know what the hell Regina expects when she’s not. “Try Tinder.”
“Emma… Storybrooke is the size of a shoebox. I know every person in this town and believe me, none of them are viable options.”
“Why?”
“Because… We have history.”
Emma scoffs.
“So what? We have history and I would fuck you.”
Or, Emma would swear Regina is trying to kill her with just how much she's teasing her. (The thing is, Emma will most definitely let her).

“Let me,” Regina said through a soft laugh as they placed the blanket down on the dew-covered grass.
Emma held her breath as she watched Regina walk toward her, she could barely process what was happening when Regina reached out, her fingers cool against her flushed cheeks that only seemed to get hotter at the feeling of Regina’s tender touch against her skin and the almost painfully caring expression on her face.
“There we go,” Regina’s voice was an affectionate whisper, the sound enough to make Emma long for something more than this little friendship they’d built these last few months.
