“You don’t think they’d stay to enjoy the view?” Zuko rasps, eyes flicking up to Sokka’s and the evidence of just how much he’s enjoying it nudging against Sokka’s hip.
Sokka lets out a half-breathless laugh even as desire coils through him. “The view of you, more like,” he says wryly. Zuko might never outright say it, but after so many years Sokka knows that it’s not him anyone is focused on in these particular fantasies.]

Summary
Firelord Zuko is many things. He’s stubborn, and determined, and caring. He’s dedicated to his work and making his nation a better place, working to undo the hundreds of years of tyranny with every swipe of his ink. He is strong, and wise, and a bit hotheaded at times, but he’s been working on that every day. Above all, he is a good, well-intentioned man.
Above all, Firelord Zuko is not a selfish man.
So, when he gives in to his urges, blurting the words he’s craved— words that have sat on the tip of his tongue eating away at him for months— Sokka is almost as surprised as Zuko is.
“Stay,” Zuko breathes, heart racing and skin scorching. And, well, maybe a little selfishness isn’t so bad.

I just want you to be safe.”

The fics aren’t linear, or necessarily connected (though I do recycle original characters, and occasionally reference an event mentioned in another fic) but you don’t need to read all of them in order to understand one of them, so you’re free to read whichever ones you want. Hakoda already has a headache just thinking about how exactly he’s supposed to interact with a fellow world leader who is also a teenager, and also dating his son, and wait--Sokka’s old enough for dating now? When did that happen?

It's tragic, really. He discovers a massive new fetish, kink, whatever – seriously, how had it escaped his notice until now that male corsetry existed and that it looked like that – in the same sentence as Zuko's predilection for it. And he can't do a damn thing about it, because he's a good friend who promised not to make things weird.
Sokka's hopeless crush on his best friend was bad enough before the discovery of certain habits of Zuko's, but now it really just feels like the universe is out to get him personally. If by the universe he means poor impulse control and his own imagination.

Zuko is courting Katara, and with every passing day finds new and insane ways of showing that he would quite literally move the spirit world and earth to make her happy.
In hindsight, it probably would've been better if Sokka had realised he was in love with Zuko at literally any time before this. Or preferably, never fallen for his best friend in the first place.
