When Julie landed her position as a songwriter at the Hollywood Ghost Club, her boss offered to pull some strings to get her a discounted apartment nearby. He talked about the place’s excellent acoustics and how a bunch of his most talented souls enjoyed the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, he did not mention the drafty windows.
Or the faulty wiring.
Or the ghost chilling in her fridge.
His name is Luke, and her apartment used to be his before he died.

Summary
Carrie and Flynn have been broken up for an entire year now, and Flynn has sworn off dating indefinitely. As an act of solidarity, her best friends, Julie and Willie, make a 'no-dating' pact. But, because there's always a catch, the three friends agree that the pact is void if all three of them can find a date to the Halloween ball...
And Willie would REALLY like a date to the Halloween ball - specifically with the new kid, Alex, who he gets closer to everyday.
However, as Julie becomes more and more certain that Flynn still has feelings for Carrie - and that these feelings go both ways - she and Willie start plotting to get the girls to come to their senses and admit their feelings.
But...what will Julie do about getting herself a date?*
Inspired by the 'Shakespeare to teen rom-com' trend of the '90s and '00s - the plot is silly (but hopefully fun silly) and the miscommunication causes problems always (yay!)

Since Juke content always provided engagement for the band, label had enough faith to pay for a duology of regency-inspired music videos telling a story of a couple—starring Julie and Luke, of course. They go through shooting the videos and the promo tour all while Julie has a huge crush on Luke but thinks he doesn’t feel the same way. (She’s wrong.)

"I’m sorry again, I promise this is not how I usually am with people," she said, trying to be polite and not completely embarrass herself with her hot neighbor. She probably shouldn't refer to him as 'her hot neighbor' either. "I’m Julie," she said, holding her hand out for him to shake.
The guy looked between her and her outstretched hand for a second without saying anything. He held a finger up, gesturing for her to wait as he disappeared behind the door for a few seconds. Julie was confused, not sure if that was strange or rude, but she had just unloaded her bad day on him so she could probably give him the benefit of the doubt.
He was back a couple of seconds later, holding his phone and quickly typed something. He turned the screen towards Julie who was now getting more confused, until she read what was actually on it.
I'm Luke.
Or, 5 times Julie couldn't understand everything Luke said, plus one time there was no communication barrier

Julie Molina does not like Luke Patterson. She hates how he always brags about his students and steals her classrooms and is unfairly attractive in those sleeveless shirts he insists on wearing. So when Principal Lessa asks them to work together on a holiday project, she’s less than thrilled. Because she hates him. That’s all there is to it, obviously.
Luke isn’t exactly excited to work with Julie, either. Determined to play nice for the sake of their students, they put their differences aside. But the more time they spend together, the more Luke struggles to hide his feelings for Julie - and vice versa. Hatred has been a good mask, but there’s only so long either of them can keep wearing it…
Or: Julie and Luke work together to help their students put on the best Christmas play this town has ever seen.
