What Cait didn’t know, what he’d never told her - or anyone for that matter- was that he’d already tried to make a move years ago.
And he’d failed.
Spectacularly.
So spectacularly that it ruined their friendship and drove a wedge so deep between them that now he was no longer Viktor, Jayce’s best friend, and (unrequited) crush. He was simply Dr. Novák, his former classmate and colleague.
And, well, still also his unrequited crush. But that was just about the only thing that hadn’t changed.-
Jayce and Viktor accidentally get locked outside on the terrace together at Piltover University Hospital's spring gala and, face-to-face for the first time in nearly a decade, finally have a long overdue conversation. Mutual pining and years of miscommunication abound!

Summary
Many rumors about senior hockey co-captains and linemates Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru had floated around the Northern State University campus throughout the years. The first was that on their initial day of practice as freshmen they got into a fistfight on the ice but came out the other end of it best friends. The second was that they had a knack for…sharing their hookups. An extension of the second that arose their senior year was that the captains were hooking up.
The third was that they were obliviously, down horrendously in love with one another, and far too stupid to even realize it.Alternatively, a drunken party game of spin the bottle sends Satoru into a gay panic spiral that somehow ends in him and Suguru entering into a not at all complicated friends with benefits situationship to help Satoru “explore his budding sexuality.”

“You are like. Stupid hot,” Sokka said, then blinked, as if he were surprised at himself for actually saying that out loud.
Meanwhile, Zuko felt like he was spiraling into another dimension. Sokka. Hot, hockey-playing, literal heartthrob, Sokka, who had everyone at the school that was attracted to men (and even some who weren’t) thirsting after him, thought Zuko was hot.
Yeah, the shitty jungle juice he’d had a single sip of must’ve transported Zuko into a parallel universe because how on Agni’s green earth was that even logistically possible?_
Sokka drunkenly tells Zuko at a party that he thinks Zuko's hot. Zuko isn't really sure what that means or if it's just the words of a (beautiful) drunken dumbass. It takes some time, awkward-yet-sexually-charged interactions, and lots of meddling from their mutual friends, but eventually the two of them get their shit together.

“That’s irresponsible and a complete humble brag but, touché,” Sokka said and the thought seemed to relax him.
“Besides, I like buying things for the people I care about.”
Zuko wasn’t sure if he was imagining the faint blush on Sokka’s cheeks or if it was from the glow of the candles on his friend’s face. He didn’t have long to try to decipher before Sokka was jumping into action.
“I’m going to put these on right now!” Sokka said excitedly.
And then proceed to strip down to his skivvies in Zuko’s bedroom.

He was told by his mother to be polite. These people were their friends and allies, and though their nations were as different as they came, harmony between nations was the most important thing.
It wasn’t his fault the Chief’s children were so annoying.

Ransom & Holster hook up freshman year of college and realize they're pretty much it for each other. In order to experience all college has to offer, and to make sure they don't screw up what could be an amazing lifelong relationship by not being ready to settle down, they make an Agreement. They'll hold off on this Thing of theirs until after graduation.
