This odd new push and pull between them is something Wei Wuxian is just discovering, and he’s also discovered that he likes the ideas it gives him - hug Lan Zhan, run your fingers along his arms, get him to look at you, say your name - the simple light that being with Lan Wangji brings to his life, the feeling that he could smile forever if Lan Wangji stood by his side.
Wei Wuxian arrives at the Cloud Recesses, breaks at least seven rules, and gets his heart stolen by the prettiest boy he's ever met, in that exact order.

Wei Ying beckoned him over to where he was seated in front of the table, talisman papers in wild disarray on top. A spot of ink stained the gleaming surface. Scattered amongst the talismans were random doodles and drawings of Lan Zhan and the rabbits they kept. There was even one of Lan QiRen, though the top of his head was made out of a pepper. Lan Zhan only knew it was his uncle because of the distinctive goatee. Lan Zhan sat down beside Wei Ying and picked up the drawing.
Wei Ying tried to snatch it from him, looking alarmed. ‘Ayah, don’t look at it! The old man is going to kill me!’
‘I won’t tell him.’
Wei Ying stared at Lan Zhan closely. ‘You’re smiling! Lan Zhan, is that really a smile I see?’

Summary
To buy time for Mizaistom’s investigation into dangerous, hidden forces manipulating the Hunter Association to lure out the “last set of Kurta Eyes”, Kurapika is appointed Hunter in-residence at the remote Solaris Basin Research Station. In addition to possessing some of the world’s most toxic flora and fauna, the basin is home to Lake Solaris, a seemingly sentient sea with mysterious powers. Within a day of arriving, Kurapika bears witness to a destructive event that nearly kills him, but his investigation into its cause is met with indifference by the two scientists on staff. Something within Lake Solaris has begun to stir, and its previously passive effects on the researchers takes a startling turn when visitors from the researchers' pasts begin appearing around the station.
Back at headquarters, Mizaistom’s concern grows as Kurapika’s increasingly brief and harried updates taper off. After a vague, unsettling report concerning the death of the station’s medical doctor, he and Leorio decide to send Leorio to investigate and join up with Kurapika, before whatever's threatening the minds of the station's staff claims another victim.

“Can we get married today?”
Leorio, barely awake, yawns and buries his face into Kurapika’s hair. He closes his eyes again and mumbles out a sleepy “Yeah, sure,” like a dutiful sitcom husband saying yes, dear. It takes him a few seconds to actually understand what he just said, and once he does, he sits up and scrambles for his glasses. “What? Today? No!”
(After their accidental engagement, Leorio realizes that there's still a lot he doesn't know about Kurta traditions.
