Suddenly, Shirakumo took a deep breath. “Do you want to work at the café?”
“What?” Touya gaped.
He had long ago lost all control over their situation, but this… this was an entirely different situation, now, and he couldn’t even pretend to know what was going on. First they ran away, and then Shirakumo called them out on it, and now...
“Work at the café!” Shirakumo repeated as his eyes grew slightly brighter.
(AKA: The Todoroki siblings run away from their abusive father, the second most famous actor in America, to a small coast-side town named Wellspring, California. There, they meet Oboro Shirakumo, his two kids, and the rag-tag band of misfits who hang around his café.)

Animals are treated less than humans, even though they have the capacity to feel emotions and think for themselves. They're pushed away, merely because they're not human. Nezu? Heck, he's so smart, everyone's scared of what would happen if they got on his bad side. Half the society, at the very least, still think that he's just an animal.
Midoriya? No quirk, he's ranked even lower, less than human. At least Nezu still had a quirk.
At least, that's what they thought.

Drowning in a haze of exhaustion, he can't seem to recall why he keeps on fighting, why living with the pain is somehow better than escaping it. For once, he doesn't put much thought into going through the motions.
Unfortunately, it seems he doesn’t have control over any facet of his life, not even his own death.
OR Shoto tries to kill himself, Kirishima is observant, Midoriya is roped into the fray, Aizawa is protective of his kids, and Class 1-A does their best to shower Todoroki with love and fluff.

Breaking News: Todoroki Shouto has been killed by Dabi
Which Hawks knows to be untrue because Dabi was the person that brought a very injured teenager to his apartment to patch him up, the kid might also have a concussion and Dabi was acting weird and Keigo still didn’t know what had happened.
At least the media didn’t know it either because the person they claimed was dead was sleeping on his couch right now and the murderer was in the same apartment.
It also didn’t help that Endeavor was even worse than normally and there was an angry blond teenager trying to hunt the villain down and blow his head up for some reason. Hawks was stuck in his apartment with Shouto Todoroki and the man that wanted to see Endeavor dead more than anyone else in the world.
This wasn’t going to be normal week, oh and the League and the Hero commission were still both breathing down his neck.
