Summary
Jaebum watches Jinyoung make his way down the aisle, smiling and murmuring to people as he passes. He’s so good at this, so much better than Jaebum has ever been. It doesn’t hurt that he’s beautiful, that the uniform suits him so well it’s as if they designed it with him in mind, vest framing his wide shoulders and cinching tight around his narrow waist, trousers hugging the curve of his ass in a way that’s almost obscene. He just puts people at ease, makes them want to please him without even having to try. It would be annoying if Jaebum didn’t feel the exact same way every time Jinyoung so much as smiled at him.
Jaebum’s not going to think about that now, though. That’s a thought for another time, when he’s off the clock and out of uniform, when he’s not Jinyoung’s coworker but just a sort-of friend who’s been harboring a deep-seated crush on him for the entirety of the time they’ve been working together and casually hanging out on their time off. So nearly two years. Pathetic.

a consoling aspect of a difficult situation; a hopeful prospectJaebeom had this whole plan figured out - lay low, get the night over and done with and then deal with the rest of it on his own. What he probably should have included in his grand plan was the possibility of the appearance of an unexpected game changer, especially one that came with magic running in his veins and an interesting character that challenges Jaebeom's own.
Jaebeom usually would have no problem getting rid of any other person, no matter how stubborn or rude they might be, but Park Jinyoung isn't like any other person Jaebeom has met in various aspects.
Jaebeom can only wish he had been more meticulous in his initial planning.

Jaebum never even cared for a hybrid in the first place, especially not for the hot headed comfort hybrid named Jinyoung.
Comfort hybrids were bred to stimulate high levels of pleasure and happiness for their masters. The only problem is that if they do not use their power for extended periods of time, they become quite uncomfortable and might even go through extreme fever like conditions. Otherwise known as heats.
Of course Jaebum, being the irritating prick his is, forbid Jinyoung from using his powers on him.
